 I know that when this film was released many reviewers said that there is nothing new and original in this film. But if you will always think like that, all new movies have a lot of common things with older films, it is very difficult to discover something new. 

 I this movie is really great, one of the best horror movies made till these days, and the best horror film for the last ten years (as a minimum). Especially atmosphere, this is the best component. The most of the horror movies that really exciting has one common thing, the plot of the movie is an investigation. This element creates an atmosphere of something unknown. And as the main character finding something new, the full picture of the case becomes more and more creepy.

 There are two negative things here. First is the second movie, it is terrible. If you didn't see the second part, don't do it. And another thing - when you watching the second time, the film is not scary. And I think it is not only because you already know all the moments, but also you don't have such a feeling of anxiety, you know what happened with before and what will be with main characters.
